C3 Fire teams are individual teams that are formed to participate in local or regional leagues
as well as local, regional and statewide tournaments. The skill and experience level of these teams will vary from developmental/intermediate level to advanced highly competitive teams. These teams are generally more suited for kids who are more highly competitive and seeking a higher level of competition and commitment than our local leagues. Most of these teams, by their nature will have restricted roster numbers which will be filled by tryout and/or invitation. Athletes who do not make a C3 Fire roster are invited to participate in our winter local leagues which are open to participation by all regardless of experience. Our local leagues are a great opportunity to develop skills, have fun and learn the game.
TEAM SELECTION FOR 2008 WINTER TRAVEL TEAMS
Invitation Criteria: Invitations are being extended to girls who have experience in our programs and whose abilities we are familiar with. Due to the competitive nature of these teams a foundational understanding of the fundamentals is very important. This will allow us to focus on skill refinement rather than basic skill introduction. For girls with no prior experience we encourage you to join our 6th~8th Grade "Blaze" local league which is open to all with no experience required and is focused on skill introduction and participation.
Interested In Playing Competitively?:
Our team rosters are full for our C3 Fire Girls Middle School Teams. Please check out our Blaze Girls Middle School Developmental League. We may have a position or two available for our 14U team which will compete in March, April (and possibly May). These roster positions will be filled first by C3 Fire Middle School Team members. We may add one or two players by invitation or coaches recommendation. If you currently play in a middle school developmental program and you are NOT registered with another KRVA affiliated club and would be interested in playing with us, please have your coach contact Todd Horner, 404-6516.
TEAM OVERVIEWS
ALL C3 Fire TRAVEL TEAM PLAYERS will participate in the middle school developmental tournaments. At the conclusion of the middle school developmental tournament season we have a separate KRVA travel season for those girls who want to continue to compete at the KRVA 14U Club level. The 14U team will participate in approximately 4 KRVA tournaments in March and April (and possibly the Happy Volley Club Championships in May).
Our C3 Fire Volleyball Club Girls 14&U team will compete in tournaments offered by the Keystone Region of USAV as well as other surrounding regions and AAU. Travel distance for tournaments may range from 1.5~3+ hrs. Those teams will also participate in scrimmages as the opportunities arise.
Our C3 Fire Girls Middle School Developmental teams will participate in a series of local middle school tournaments located within 30~45 min of State College. Depending upon total registrations and available coaches we may have multiple teams at one or more age level. Teams may include Open or Club level teams.

PARENTS INFORMATIONAL MEETINGS

These are important meetings for parents of girls interested in participating or finding out more about club volleyball. We will be discussing our vision and purpose as well as organizational and administrative issues. We will also be answering your questions.
REGISTRATION:
C3 Fire Volleyball Club 14U team players and teams will be registered with KRVA. All players must also be individually registered with the Region as well. To register please fill out KRVA registration forms which can be found at krva.org. Go to the top of the page and look under Resources, then go to forms/policies. You will need a Jr. Membership form and Medical Release form.

Your daughter's qualifying age to play on a team is based on her age as of Aug 31, 2008. (KRVA official age definitions) She may play on an older age level team, but not on a younger level team (with a few exceptions).
