THE BIBLE
We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. It is inspired, authoritative and applicable to our everyday lives. Matthew 5:17-18; 24:35; Hebrews 4:12; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21
GOD THE FATHER
God is a Trinity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is our Creator,
almighty, all-knowing, and all-present, yet shows his love for us by
giving us the ability to choose him. Exodus 3:14; Psalm 11:4-5; 34:8; Acts 17:28; Romans 3:3-4; Deuteronomy 30:19; The Father is a God of love, mercy, justice, and holiness, always looking out for his children and desires the very best for them. Romans 8:15, 32; 5:8; John 3:16; Malachi 4:6; Luke 12:24; James 1:17; Numbers 23:19; Leviticus 11:44-45; 19:2
JESUS CHRIST
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ was and is the eternal Son of God; that he became man and was born of the virgin Mary. Matthew 1:23; Luke 24:39; John 1:1-4,14 We believe in his sinless life, death, and resurrection, and that He
set the stage for us by modeling the “normal” Christian life through His
ministry. Acts 1:9; 2:22; 10:38; 1 Cor 15:4; 2 Cor 5:21; Eph 4:8-10; Hebrews 9:12; 1 Peter 2:22
HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that the Holy Spirit is one with the Father and the Son, convicts the world concerning sin, regenerates and sanctifies believers, and energizes them to live victoriously. Ephesians 1:13-14; Luke 11:13; John 14:26; 16:8-11; Romans 8:14; 1 Peter 1:2 We believe that in order to live the holy and fruitful lives that God intends for us, we need to be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, who enables us to use spiritual gifts. Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4-5, 8; 2:1-4; 8:15-19; 11:14-17; 19:1-7
SALVATION
We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives and that in order to receive forgiveness and be “born again,” we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives. Romans 5:12-21; Titus 2:11; 3:5-7; 1 Peter 1:23; 1 John 5:1
