We are inviting you to join us for our 7 weeks of prayer beginning April 1- May 19 (Pentecost Sunday.) We are asking everyone in the church to participate in this prayer campaign as we ask God for an outpouring of His Spirit in our individual lives, families, church, community and the nations. As Jesus said in Mark 11:17, “My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.”
What does this look like:
Groups gathering to pray together and should be composed of 7 people who will meet once a week for an hour for 7 weeks. You can ask family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, etc to be part of your group. We have also referred to this time as our 7X7X7 initiative: 7 weeks of prayer, 7 people in a group, 7 hours of prayer (1 hour X 7 weeks of prayer = 7 hours of prayer)
Where:
You can meet whenever and wherever is convenient for your group. You can meet in homes, at the church, at work, etc. If you can’t meet in person and would like to meet over zoom but you don’t have a personal zoom account, please contact me. The church has set up a zoom account and I will send the account information to you.
When:
Beginning April 1, the day after Easter, until Pentecost Sunday. Please find a time that works for your group.
Hosts:
Each group should have a point person. I am asking for that person (host) to contact me. We are going to send out an email each week with an encouragement for your group. We would also like feedback from your group prayer time, especially if someone has a word or testimony.
We have provided a video below to hopefully answer some of your questions. Thank you for joining us in prayer!
The 7 Mountains of Influence, as referred to in the video, are the following:
- Government
- Media
- Arts & Entertainment
- Business
- Education
- Religion
- Family
When we all come together in unity and pray for the seven mountains of influence, God will hear our prayers, and we will begin to see a shift in our culture toward righteousness. The earnest prayers of the righteous have great power and produce wonderful results (James 5:16). Let’s take our place in prayer by faith, and see our land healed!
